Aktuelle Version 1.34
v1.34

Recipes in collections, clearer ingredients, and more ready-made food

Collections now include complete recipes

  • Nutrition collections can contain ready-made recipes as well as individual foods. Recipes support nested components, so a sauce can be reused inside another dish without losing its own ingredient structure.
  • A recipe can be expanded before it is added. The viewer shows ingredients, weight, moisture loss during cooking, and final macros and calories. Nested recipes remain grouped at their own level, keeping even complex dishes understandable.

A collection recipe can become your own

  • A collection recipe opens in the familiar editor as a new personal version. Its ingredients, image, origin, and available translations are preserved, while the name can be edited separately for each locale.
  • The personal copy no longer depends on later collection updates. It can be freely adjusted to match your ingredients, proportions, and actual cooked yield.

The nutrition library is richer

  • “Georgian Cuisine” is the first collection built around complete recipes. New universal collections of basic spices and alcoholic ingredients were added alongside it for reuse in other dishes.
  • Collections received many new images. When a food or recipe has its own collection image, that image stays with it when it is added to the diary or copied to personal food.

Small training improvements

  • The rest timer now uses a phone’s landscape screen more effectively, keeping the timer ring, QR code, and controls clear and separated.

v1.33 Trainer dashboard, better chat, and clearer nutrition

Every athlete in one working dashboard

  • Trainers now have a dedicated dashboard with an overview of all their athletes. Compact cards show current-week progress, nutrition activity, body weight, and signals that may need attention. The list can be searched and filtered, with direct access to the profile, training week, charts, nutrition, or private chat.
  • The trainer dashboard can be selected as the home page. Alert settings save automatically, making it practical for both individual coaching and larger groups.

Collaboration stays under the athlete’s control

  • Athletes can grant nutrition access to their trainer separately. The trainer can review the diary, history, and charts without rewriting actual entries, while helping configure targets and calculation settings. Trainer changes appear in notifications, and access can be disabled at any time in user settings.
  • Training progress accounts for completed, substituted, and frozen exercises. Correcting the week’s reserve-in-reps value (RIR) now also recalculates the planned repetition targets correctly.

The social hub is now a proper chat

  • Communication feels much more familiar, with cleaner tabs, avatars, fullscreen mode, quick profile access, and relationship controls for friends, trainers, and athletes. Incoming messages are visible directly from the trainer dashboard.
  • Images can be attached or pasted from the clipboard. They are safely recompressed, open in a viewer, and can be deleted when needed. Links are clickable, direct image links receive a preview, and Ctrl+Enter sends a message.

Food images are easier to refine

  • The food and recipe image editor is now much more capable. Uploaded images can be cropped, scaled, rotated, and mirrored, while plain backgrounds can be removed cleanly. Personal images remain in a reusable library and can be deleted when no longer needed.
  • For items without a suitable picture, GYM Planner suggests options from similar foods and recipes. The complete standard image library is also available whenever a different image is preferred.

Nutrition is clearer and more polished

  • Calculation mode is now explicit: automatic energy expenditure, a fixed calorie budget, or custom macros. The page explains the selected mode and highlights the required inputs, while large settings sections collapse on mobile to save space.
  • Diary and Your Food cards are more compact. Tables remain stable with different sets of visible values, and safer gesture handling helps prevent accidental edits or deletion while scrolling.

v1.32 Training without registration, clearer nutrition

Try training right away

  • Create a personal plan or choose a ready-made one, configure working weights, and prepare a training week without registering. Everything uses the familiar interface, while guest data remains in this browser.
  • If you decide to register, GYM Planner preserves the nutrition and training data you have already created and makes it available across devices.

Food is easier to recognize

  • Food and recipe images now appear in collections, the diary, and Your Food. New items and recipes receive a suitable image automatically, but it can always be replaced with a standard option or a personal upload.

One clear starting point

  • The public nutrition and training sections now share a cleaner entry experience, clearer guidance, and interactive examples. Guest use is more consistent, while key achievements are presented compactly without exposing private data.

v1.31 Nutrition from day one, more reliable training

### Main update: nutrition

  • The nutrition diary can now be fully tried without registration. Days, targets, and settings remain in the browser, and the history can later be moved into a system guest account for continued use across devices.
  • Foods, recipes, and collections now form a more cohesive library. Search understands reordered and partial words, minor typos, localized names in other supported languages, and text entered with the wrong keyboard layout. Library sources can be filtered, and items from curated collections can be copied into a personal library.
  • The diary and energy-balance chart now explain the calculation consistently: daily maintenance, data readiness, and the exact reason why a result is not available yet. An initial estimate can be produced from 14 days when the observation coverage is sufficient.

### Main update: training

  • The planner preserves its original settings more reliably and presents RIR and available-weight limits more clearly. Lost weight-range links can now be detected and repaired safely, while rare training-week archive failures have been fixed.
  • Current strength references and effective-weight calculations are more resilient to incomplete and older data, reducing inconsistencies between history, plans, and strength results.

### Other improvements

  • A historical nutrition day can now be deleted explicitly. Saved targets from past days no longer get mixed with today's settings, and energy balance refreshes more reliably after changes to food, training days, or calculation settings.
  • Food and recipe editors are more compact and consistent, with improved macro entry, cooked-yield recalculation, and detection of similar existing items.

### Public features

  • Public profiles now include a compact significant-results section. It presents concrete strength results and the best nutrition achievements, sorts them by level, and keeps full achievement collections neatly collapsible. Exact daily nutrition records remain private.
  • The public Tools section brings together the 1RM calculator, strength ratings, and WRPF standards. These calculation pages are easier to find and use without signing in.
👁 1
v1.30 Achievements that mean something

Nutrition now builds into achievements too

  • Five nutrition achievements are now available in the profile: tracking consistency, longest streak, closed days, weight movement, and average break length. The badge color shows the current level, while the checkmark color preserves the best historical result.
  • Levels depend on both the measured value and a sufficient observation period. A streak cannot be joined by editing past days, and history-based achievements cannot jump to their maximum level on day one.

Every level can be checked

  • Achievement dialogs show the criteria for every level, the current position, and the historical result. If the metric already meets a higher level but the observation period is still too short, the dialog says so explicitly.
  • Strength achievements now explain the same essentials: which result controls the badge, what the checkmark means, how exercise coefficients are applied, and why the calculation is a training reference rather than an official sports rank. The full standards calculator can be opened directly with the exercise, sex, body weight, and current result already filled in.

The public profile is more complete and more deliberate

  • Only achievements with at least some progress appear publicly. Nutrition achievements require the owner's permission, and meals, alcohol, and exact daily nutrition data are never exposed.
  • The profile uses existing friendship and coaching relationships for relevant social actions, gives strength results a clearer section name, and generates a compact link-preview card with the avatar, name, and two rows of achievements.

Achievement UI is more consistent

  • Nutrition badges now follow the visual language of strength achievements. Their dialogs are more compact, explain current and historical levels more clearly, and remain readable in both light and dark themes.
  • Strength formulas are also aligned between private and public profiles, selected cells now work correctly in the calculator for individual exercises, and system error pages have been cleaned up.

v1.29 An honest nutrition plan

Calorie targets now reflect the real week

Nutrition estimates are more transparent: basal metabolism, everyday activity, steps, and strength training are shown separately. The detailed breakdown can be collapsed to leave only the calculated target.

Strength-training energy can either be spread evenly across the week or assigned directly to training days. In the second mode, rest days receive fewer calories and training days receive more, while the weekly total remains unchanged.

Goals are more precise and predictable

Recomposition is now available, and deficit or surplus is selected from safe fixed values tailored to maintenance, cutting, gaining, and recomposition.

In the primary calculation mode, calories and carbohydrates are updated automatically, while protein and fat are controlled through stable g/kg targets. Built-in references explain the ranges and adapt to the selected basis: total body weight or lean mass.

The plan keeps its meaning over time

Each day receives its own target snapshot. A closed diary no longer changes retroactively after a new weigh-in or settings update, and charts use the plan that actually applied on that date.

Chart guidance now respects the selected goal. Maintenance, cutting, gaining, and recomposition are evaluated differently, so stable body weight during recomposition is no longer treated as an automatic failure.

The interface and guest workflow are more reliable

Strength-training settings are more compact, the energy breakdown is easier to read, and saved foods and dishes no longer display long floating-point tails.

Display settings now persist correctly for anonymous users. Local sorting, similar-food matching, next-day weight reuse, and promotion from anonymous use to a temporary account were also aligned with the main nutrition workflow.

👁 2
v1.28 A clearer picture

Nutrition charts are much more useful

  • Calories and macros can now be viewed in kcal or as a percentage of their targets. The unfinished current day no longer affects the picture by default, but it can be included when needed.
  • A separate chart can compare body weight, average weight, calculated deficit or surplus, and maintenance. Displayed metrics and units are configurable and remembered for future visits.
  • A detailed period summary now shows totals and averages, target completion, deficit and surplus days, weight change, and a rough fat-mass equivalent of the calculated energy balance. Rows you do not need can be hidden.
  • When there is a sufficiently complete history of nutrition and weigh-ins, the system compares expected weight change with the actual trend. A substantial mismatch prompts you to review diary completeness, portion weights, or activity settings. No advice is produced from sparse data.

The training diary handles poor connections better

  • The system distinguishes changes to individual sets more accurately and tries to merge device and server data automatically. A whole-week conflict is now less likely to be caused by a single result that failed to upload at the gym.
  • If the changes cannot be merged safely, the emergency choice remains available: accept the server version or send your local data.

A rest timer is now built into the workout

  • A 1–9 minute timer starts directly from the weekly diary. You can pause it, adjust it by one minute, or collapse it without stopping the countdown. Audio cues help you avoid missing the next set, and on completion the diary focuses the next unfinished set.
  • The active timer screen also includes the public-profile QR code, so it can be shown without closing the timer.

Automatic week planning is safer

  • When looking for an alternative progression, the system no longer selects extremely low or high rep counts by default. The permitted limits can be changed in the advanced week-creation settings. Manual selection remains unrestricted, so an unusual option can still be chosen deliberately.

Interactive training-cycle guides are now available

  • You can watch step-by-step examples of creating a plan, creating the first week, and logging a workout. They use the familiar interface, follow the selected language and theme, and support speed control, pause, and repeat.
  • The guides never change your plans or diaries. New users see them at the relevant stage, while the week-logging example remains available from the current diary.

Routine actions are more straightforward

  • Unnecessary confirmations were removed from ordinary reversible changes. Sex for the basal calorie calculation can now be selected directly in nutrition settings without visiting general user settings.
  • The public nutrition diary can also be used without registration, making it easier to show the system to someone else.
  • The charts section now has direct tabs: a chart opens in one step, while heavy data loads only for the selected page. Working-weight changes are saved immediately after confirmation in their card, without a second page-wide save.

Important issues were fixed

  • Saving ready-made training plans was repaired, and strength achievements once again use current progress correctly. Issues during food-item replacement and additional causes of false set-saving conflicts were also fixed.

v1.27 Always connected

The training diary now saves automatically

Set results are synchronized with the server automatically. A separate save button is no longer required: you can fill in the workout as you train and move between screens normally.

If the gym connection disappears or becomes unstable, changes remain on the device and are delivered when the connection returns. The synchronization status shows whether data is saved, waiting to be sent, or needs attention.

Communication is now available from the main screens

A compact communication button is available across the main pages. Direct messages, friendship and coaching requests, and support conversations are collected in one place.

Unread messages and requests display counters. Open conversations update automatically, and your messages can be edited or deleted. Friendship and coaching actions are also available directly from the member list and public profiles.

Navigation is more compact

The current week is now the first item under Training. Rankings and release history have compact top-level entries, and a new release is marked with an orange dot until it is opened.

Less useful and duplicate entries were removed from the signed-in menu so the main sections are easier to reach.

Exercise settings apply immediately

Favorites, working ranges, and biomechanics settings are saved as soon as they change. The extra edit-and-save-the-whole-page cycle is no longer required.

Food top-up suggestions are more practical

Accurate matches now have priority. Approximate suggestions can be enabled with a separate switch, while options that exceed protein, fat, or carbohydrate targets too heavily are filtered out.

Important details were fixed

Statistics were restored in both personal and public profiles. The nutrition diary is better protected from an accidental empty local state. Social counters and contact lists now update without reloading the page.

v1.26 Your week, your way

New weeks now adapt better to real-world equipment

When the selected repetition range has no suitable option with a reasonable load increase, GYM Planner now looks for the closest safe option across other repetition settings. These alternatives are added directly to the main list, marked separately, and show where the nearest suitable position sits on the lower-to-higher repetition scale.

This reduces the number of situations where you have to accept an excessive load jump simply because the available equipment changes in large increments.

Progress can now be paused

Load progression can be frozen globally or separately for pull, push, and leg exercises. A frozen category remains in the plan and you can still progress whenever you want, but the diary and week preview no longer treat the lack of progression as a problem.

This is useful when you want to maintain one muscle group for a while and focus on the others — including taking a short break from “leg-day slavery.”

Exercise targets can be changed directly from the diary

A quick variant button now appears before the “Current” line. It lets you change the repetitions and weight for one exercise without returning to the full week preview.

The target can only be changed before the exercise is started. RIR and the main range settings come from the current plan, so this remains a focused adjustment rather than a hidden full-week editing mode.

The weekly diary is easier to understand

  • Every set now has its own status: completed with progress, completed without progress, skipped, or filled in incorrectly.
  • Frozen exercises use a snowflake status while normal input validation remains active.
  • The Information panel has been rewritten and only explains diary features that are currently enabled.
  • The week-wide repetitions-in-reserve value can be corrected through a dedicated safe action without entering a full editing mode.
  • The week preview now describes the selected settings in plain language instead of exposing an internal parameter string.

Nutrition charts gained another useful perspective

The nutrition chart page now includes an energy-balance chart. The selected period applies to all nutrition charts, and for users who choose nutrition as their primary section, nutrition charts are shown first while strength-training charts are grouped into a separate expandable section.

v1.25 Training and nutrition, side by side

Choose where your GYM Planner starts

When creating an account, you can now choose your main workflow: training, nutrition, or both. GYM Planner will open the most relevant section first, and you can change this preference later in your user settings.

Nutrition is much easier to use day to day

  • The diary now has a compact daily summary with macros, values per kilogram of body weight, target progress, and clear mass- and calorie-based charts.
  • “Fill the gap” can suggest options from your own foods and saved dishes. Exact matches are separated from approximate ones, making it easier to choose a practical way to finish the day without manual trial and error.
  • Saved dishes can now be used as components of other dishes, so sauces, doughs, bases, and other prepared parts do not need to be rebuilt every time.
  • Your foods and saved dishes now have cleaner search, sorting, archive controls, and more compact list navigation.
  • A new automatic target mode can calculate both your calorie target and carbohydrates for you. Set your protein and fat targets, and GYM Planner handles the rest using your current parameters, activity level, and goal.
  • When your body weight changes, dependent calculations and daily targets now update together, so you no longer need to save each settings section manually.
  • Goals, body weight, and calorie estimates are organized into clearer self-contained sections. Calculations update as parameters change, and save buttons become active only when there is something new to save.

Less friction and a more consistent interface

The nutrition workspace is now denser and more consistent: the same macro order throughout, clearer button states, unified icons, more compact cards, and better behavior in both light and dark themes.

Public guides have been refreshed too

The guides for training logs, returning after a break, building your own plan, and keeping a nutrition diary have been rewritten as practical standalone pages with clearer structure and related materials.

v1.24 Your Nutrition Day, Under Control

The nutrition diary is now more reliable and convenient for everyday use.

  • Entries are saved to the server automatically and remain available across devices. You can explicitly complete the current day and continue it later when necessary. An empty day cannot be closed accidentally, while revision checks prevent an outdated tab from silently overwriting newer data.
  • The diary now respects your time zone and your personal nutrition-day boundary. You can shift it by up to ±3 hours: choose an earlier time as a personal stop signal, or move the boundary into the night if you follow a late schedule.
  • Nutrition history is now a complete part of the diary. You can open any past date, including days without entries, and correct a completed day in a separate one-hour editing session when necessary.
  • A brief verification remains before historical editing. We know you are not a robot — it simply gives you a few seconds to consider which day a late meal really belongs to.
  • As a result, the diary is not only more convenient, but also better at supporting consistent and honest nutrition tracking.

“Fill the gap”

  • The nutrition diary now includes personalized suggestions for completing your daily plan. On days when this feature may be useful, GYM Planner offers suitable food combinations and calculates their portions based on what you have already eaten and your nutrition targets.
  • You can choose the number of foods in a combination, refresh the suggestions, and star foods you would prefer today. The selected combination is added to the diary in one action.

v1.23 Upgrade Weeks

A more flexible training-week workflow

The process of finishing the current week and creating the next one has been redesigned.

  • Uncompleted targets are now carried over to the next week by default. The training plan and already recorded results remain unchanged.
  • New exercises now show the clear “No history” status instead of the technical 0@0 value.
  • For an exercise without history, you can select an initial working reference within the available weight range or determine it during the workout.
  • When editing the current week, saved targets are loaded automatically. All changes made on the page can be discarded with a single action.
  • Action names and explanations have been clarified: the previous planning action is now “Finish week”, and creating a new week explicitly finishes the current one.

The current week now stays synchronized with the plan

Changes to the active plan are automatically reflected in the open week without recreating it or losing recorded results.

  • New exercises are added to the correct workout.
  • Removed exercises remain available but are marked as optional.
  • Exercise order changes are reflected in the diary immediately.
  • When the number of sets is increased or reduced, added and excluded sets are shown separately.
  • Completion checks use the current number of sets defined by the plan.
  • “Apply plan changes” lets you finalize the updated structure of the current week while preserving recorded results.

Clearer multi-level navigation

The visual distinction between levels of the main menu has been increased. Sections, subsections, and the current tab are now easier to identify in both light and dark themes.

👁 6
v1.22 Nutrition and consistent navigation

Nutrition

GYM Planner now includes a nutrition diary. Add your own food, adjust portions,

and see the day’s protein, fat, carbohydrates, and calories immediately. Meals are

optional: group entries when useful, or keep a simple continuous list.

You can now:

  • build a personal food library without searching through thousands of public entries;
  • calculate multi-ingredient dishes using their final cooked weight and water loss;
  • set daily targets and see progress on clear charts;
  • estimate a starting calorie range for maintenance, weight loss, or weight gain;
  • connect curated collections of basic foods and hide entries you do not need.

Body-weight history is shared by the profile and Nutrition calculations. The diary

remains private: friends and trainers cannot see what or when you ate.

Consistent navigation

Navigation across the site is now more consistent. Main sections, subsections, and inner tabs use the same layout, making pages easier to find and switch between.

Menus in Gym, Nutrition, and User sections are now cleaner, with a clearer indication of the active page.

v1.21 New Account System and Public Features

Complete account management

Before version 1.21, GYM Planner provided only basic username-and-password sign-in. This release adds a complete account access and recovery flow:

  • new account registration;
  • forgotten-password recovery;
  • password changes from user settings;
  • management of backup recovery email addresses;
  • review of active devices and sessions;
  • termination of one session or sign-out from all other devices;
  • automatic revocation of old sessions after a password change.

External sign-in providers

GYM Planner now supports sign-in through Yandex, Mail.ru, Google, and Telegram, subject to provider availability and regional restrictions.

Available providers can be linked to an existing GYM Planner account and used alongside the regular username-and-password method. An accidentally created external-provider account can also be safely merged into an existing account.

Account security

  • Added protection against automated attacks around sign-in, registration, password recovery, and password changes.
  • Additional human verification appears only for sensitive flows or after suspicious repeated attempts.
  • Changing the password revokes previously opened sessions so that old devices do not retain access.
  • Username and password remain an independent backup sign-in method.

Public profile and ranking permissions

A new Permissions section has been added to user settings. It provides separate controls for:

  • public profile visibility;
  • participation in GYM Planner public rankings.

Both permissions are enabled by default after the update. Users should review these settings and select the visibility level that suits them.

Rankings and public pages

A new Rankings section includes public member profiles, estimated one-repetition maximum rankings, confirmed weight rankings, and WRPF standards.

Public profiles are now cleaner: empty statistics, image, and video sections are no longer displayed.
